The décor of our Chicago flagship was inspired by New York’s renowned Metropolitan Club. Designed by late-nineteenth century architects McKim, Meade & White, the Metropolitan Club was the ultimate in the neoclassical tradition.

This store houses the largest selection of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century oil paintings from the Ralph Lauren collection, which are featured in the grand and side staircases. Its antiques and furnishings were selected in Europe, many of which have been reproduced by Ralph Lauren Home. Influenced by the Ralph Lauren Mansion, this store takes that sensibility to a larger scale, resulting in an impressive addition to the heart Chicago and a landmark Ralph Lauren store. Chicago is also home to our RL Restaurant.

RL Restaurant, located adjacent to the Chicago flagship, represents Ralph Lauren's debut into the restaurant industry.

Modeled after the gentlemen's clubs of Great Britain, foremost The Mark's Club, RL creates a world of crystal, cigars, speedboats and society power lunches. The dining room ceiling features a set of 12 octagonal faceted French Art Deco lights from a large train station outside of Paris. Channeled leather banquettes edge the sidewalls. The restaurant also features a cozy library bar with a fireplace, which seasonally opens onto a sidewalk café. The art consists of a range from early society portraits to modern photography, creating an eclectic collection that reflects the multifaceted style of Ralph Lauren. Integrating it with the city, included in this collection are some photographs of Chicago from the Chicago Historical Society.
